About

Some background…

I’m a tech and business correspondent at Vanity Fair. My work has also been published in the New York Times, MIT Technology Review, WIRED, The Verge, and others.

You might also know me from my work at Insider, where I broke news about powerful figures like Dave Portnoy and Elon Musk, or The Information, where I wrote features and investigations about the tech industry’s role in shaping politics and society.

I got my start in book publishing at HarperCollins, where I worked on the Freakonomics series. Then I headed to Esquire, where I wrote about pop culture and edited features. Next, a stint at Bon Appétit, before I moved to Los Angeles to make film & television out of journalistic IP for Epic/Vox Media. (Check out Little America on Apple TV+!) Then I was a senior correspondent on Insider’s features team and a reporter for The Information’s Weekend section. I was also selected as one of Omidyar Network’s reporters in residence in 2025.

If you’re interested in talking about the intersection of tech, politics, and culture, let’s talk!
